Villanovaforru (Biddanoa de Forru in Sardinian language) is an Italian town of 626 inhabitants in southern Sardinia. Located on the hills of Marmilla, about 50 km from Cagliari, the village belongs to the Tourist Consortium Sa Corona Arrubia. Until the mid-twentieth century it was a small agricultural town, almost totally unknown; as a consequence of the discovery of the Nuraghe Genna Maria (bronze age - 2nd millennium BC) and the opening of the Archaeological Museum it has become a center linked to the archaeological and cultural field.
