|Nuraghe Su Mulinu is an archaeological site located in the territory of Villanovafranca, in the province of South Sardinia. It is a construction that dates back to 1500 BC, which has the peculiarity of being composed of different types of constructions such as those in corridor and false dome. The best preserved part is that dating back to the 7th-6th century BC. The site was abandoned around the 4th century BC.
Inside a tower was found the only example of nuragic altar of the first Iron Age, consisting of a stone carved on vertical motifs with the eagerness of the goddess Moon (see last picture).
It was excavated several times since 1983 by archaeologist Giovanni Ugas.
